The Dangers of Drug Cocktails

Adderall and marijuana, cocaine and Xanax, heroin and alcohol. Often times, people will abuse more than one substance at once to obtain a certain type of high they cannot get without combining substances.

Known as a “drug cocktail”, it is when two or more drugs are taken together to achieve a certain type of euphoric effect, which people experiment and attempt different combinations to obtain that effect.

This is extremely dangerous!

People who indulge take multiple different drugs at once will experience potentially fatal side-effects.

Depending on the combination of drugs, Adderall and marijuana, AKA madderall, will experience inconsistent heart rate. As Adderall speeds up one’s heart rate, marijuana slows down the hearts bpm.

Having the heartbeat at an awkward shifting tempo is very damaging and can lead to heart failure.

As of late, some have been concocting a deadly drug cocktail called “Gray Death”.

The ingredients in this mixture are extremely addicting and can be lethal:

  • Heroin
  • Fentanyl (50 times stronger than heroin)
  • Carfentanil (100 times stronger than fentanyl)
  • U-47700 (a synthetic opioid)

Mixed together, the combination becomes deadly and this is just one of the combinations out there. Many have experimented with different drugs to obtain different effects.

In general, having an addiction to one drug is damaging and creating and using drug cocktails can be even more damaging.

Sadly, most people do combine drugs to create certain effects. Many have mixed cocaine and alcohol to obtain a certain effect.

Ultimately, this leads to polydrug abuse.

When one constantly combines drugs may experience certain side effects:

  • Brain Damage
  • Coma
  • Seizures
  • Suppressed breathing

Drug abuse, in general, is dangerous let alone combining several different drugs to achieve a certain type of nirvana.

While tempting, abusing any type of drug is harmful. It will only lead to unhealthy habits that hurt oneself and the others around them.
